Abstract
Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is an immune-mediated inflammatory and demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system. In this case report, we describe a ten-year-old-boy who presented with weakness in the legs. After work-up, a post-viral ADEM was diagnosed, possibly caused by Bocavirus. When treating ADEM, beyond initial therapy, early initiation of physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation can help facilitate more timely and complete recovery.
